Rose Quartz and Serenity
We’ve all done it – bought something for the home which looks amazing in store only to get it home and realise the colour just doesn’t work for us.
Contrast that with the magic feeling of finding a colour which looks amazing. You know it and your friends know it too.
So how can we be sure that the things we are buying today are still going to be looking fabulous a few years down the line? Whilst some classics stand the test of time, fashion and trend colours tend to work in cycles. The people at Pantone have a track record in spotting the big colours for the upcoming seasons and here is their pick for 2016.
In a break with tradition this year they’ve actually taken two colours which perfectly complement each other. Here at Granley we think they are onto something and can picture scores of beautiful interiors taking their inspiration from these two beautiful complementary colours.
Industrial chic in new build Cheltenham
When one of our regular returning customers, Sally, popped in to see us recently to talk through her latest project we were really intrigued. Having just got her hands on the keys to a beautiful new build in central Cheltenham she was understandably excited to get started making her mark on the place.
The intriguing element of it was that Sally wanted to bring some industrial chic in to really change the character of the apartment. Out went the plain finishes and in came exposed wood and brickwork.
To set off all of her hard work Sally chose to add roller blinds with a London themed design complete with red buses. We think the end results look fantastic and certainly provide inspiration for anyone who thinks new builds are always boring.
